What Is Stress
Stress is defined as “the adverse reaction people have to excessive pressure or other type of demands placed on them”, Pressure is part of everyday life and it helps to keep you motivated. It is important to manage your levels of pressure as excessive pressure can result in illness.
How to Relieve Stress
Take a look and see if any of these ideas can be useful to you
1. Priorities your daily tasks so you can make time for you. Light a scented candle. Put on your favorite relaxing music and soak in a warm bath. The water should not be too hot as hot water tends to stimulate.
2. Try to cut down on caffeine one way of doing this is to drink decaffeinated teas such as Chamomile. Chamomile is known for its relaxing effect, but there is a huge selection on the market.
3. Visualization is used a lot to calm nerves. Sit back in a comfortable chair. Clothing must not be tight. Try to relax your body. Recall a time or place where you have happy memories, then picture yourself in that time or place. Visualize anything that makes you feel relaxed.
4.Breathing exercises are great for relieving stress. Inhale slowly, hold your breath, and exhale slowly. Count to eight during each phase. As you exhale visualize the air as the pent up stress escaping.
5. Boredom can add to stress so it is very important you have something useful to do during the day to keep you occupied.
6 An hour to a nervous person seems like forever. It is essential that a nervous person has outside interest so that time passes quickly.
7. Meditation is another helpful tool. SIMPLE MEDITATION.
8. Massage can help and is easy to do. Close your eyes and use your fingertips to vigorously massage your forehead and the back of your neck. Rub in circles, and rub hard.
9. Exercise is one of the ways to reduce stress.

Remember to have some fun. Spend time with friends and family. Take time out to laugh! Take up a new hobby; it's always great to have something new and enjoyable to spend time thinking about.
